ಏಕವಚನ (singular)

ಅರ್ಥ: ಒಂದನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುವ ವಚನ. Meaning: The singular number.

ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರು ವಚನಗಳಿವೆ: ಏಕ, ದ್ವಿ, ಬಹು. ಏಕವಚನ ಒಂದೇ ವಸ್ತು/ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

Sanskrit has three grammatical numbers — singular, dual, and plural. The singular marks exactly one thing.
