ವಿಧಿಲಿಙ್ (vidhiliṅ — optative/potential)

ಅರ್ಥ: "ಆಗಬಹುದು/ಆಗಬೇಕು" ಎಂಬ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆ, ಅಪೇಕ್ಷೆ, ಅಥವಾ ವಿಧಿಯನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುವ ಭಾವ. Meaning: The optative mood — possibility, wish, or prescription ("might/should").

ಆಜ್ಞಾರ್ಥಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮೃದುವಾದ, ಪರೋಕ್ಷ ಸಲಹೆ ಅಥವಾ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷಿನ "would/might/should" ಗೆ ಹತ್ತಿರ.
